The Simpsons was previously one of the biggest and many popular shows on television and they have declined in quality so much since that time it's just painful to watch now, the final great thing in the future in the Simpsons was the film back in 2007 I think, such as the misunderstand me if it sounds like i'm being too negative, this can be a great show in it's earlier seasons coupled with some great episodes like: Treehouse of Horror V from season 6, or You Only Move Twice from season 8, but they're simply not exactly the same show anymore and i believe it comes down to down we permit this to classic go and let another deserving cartoon go ahead and take thrown like Family Guy, South Park, or Futurama.

Hopefully following the show concludes it's 22nd season, it will likely be chose to do at least 3 more seasons, that will bring the entire season count to 25 and the show's episode count to more than 500.
