The average person will probably never need to purchase a lab coat, let alone know the in's and out's of one of them. Men's lab coats and women's lab coats are what people in the business like to call "specialty purchases"; in other words you are specifically looking to peddle your wears to one type of person: medical professionals. With that said, even if you never plan on putting on a lab coat for work purposes, you can still appreciate them. Heck, just because you are never going to fly a plane on your own doesn't mean that you can't appreciate what great machines they are. Today's modern lab coat is truly one of the most impressive pieces of clothing out there on the market. There is more technology in a standard lab coat then you'll find in any wearable fabric on the market.
And by technology, we aren't talking about the things that go "beep" and "boop". There are no microchips in a lab coat or anything like that. What there is, though, is fabric that has been tested in labs so that it works perfectly with the needs of the medical professional who is wearing it. It doesn't just keep the wearer cool with breathable fabric, but it also contains fabric which allows a wearer to not sweat as much during high pressure situations. And when you do sweat, the fabric that is used on high end lab coats will actually lift the sweat off of the body and disperse it in the air. That means no yellow stains on your coat after a long day at work.
Of course, you will spend a bit more on these types of lab coats. And you know what: it will be worth every extra penny that you spend. Sure, you could buy a cheaper lab coat, but if you've ever spent time in a cheap lab coat you know what you are wearing is of lower quality. You might as well be wearing a large sports coat for how bulky and hot those lower quality lab coats feel. In addition to their fine fabric, a really good lab coat will also fit snuggly, yet comfortably, for a feel like you aren't wearing anything at all. After a long day at work, that's exactly how you want it.
To find more information on really good lab coats, check out the internet as you'll find plenty of information regarding which ones make the grade, and which places to skip over. Don't be afraid to spend a little bit extra, especially because the high quality coats tend to last longer than the lower quality stuff.
